5 Cannabis Facts To Impress Your Friends

I love playing devil’s advocate. What I love equally, if not more, is breaking stereotypes and flexing my knowledge. I think I’m having too much fun being a “stoner” know-it-all in this instance. I’m referring to fun and exciting cannabis facts to impress your friends. As a daily cannabis user, I can sometimes be mislabeled as someone who isn’t smart or maybe even lazy. However, there are just too many exciting cannabis facts out there (and probably some myths as well) to pass up the opportunity to share them with anyone reading this.

Full disclosure, I pulled these facts from several sites. However, they may not be credible since not all have cited the resources behind these “facts.” I’ll let you decide which ones to believe, and your friends may not be the wiser.

Bob Marley Was Buried With Cannabis

“The musical star was buried with his red Gibson guitar, a cannabis bud, and a Bible open on the 23rd Psalm, which reads: “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures”.” (CSC, 2020).

Due to hormonal levels and menstrual cycles, cannabis fluctuates in how it affects men and women. “One study found that women build up a tolerance to cannabis faster than men.” (Dawson, 2021).

In a story published about the miners, it is said that they received letters from wives and family members with cannabis in them. “Officials from the Chilean government became so concerned [over the pot use] that they discussed getting a drug-sniffing dog” to ferret out the rogue letters delivered through a rescue shaft, according to the book “33 Men” by journalist Jonathan Franklin.” (New York Post, 2011).

Both Colorado and California have been clocked at having more dispensaries than Starbucks locations. As of May 2019, Colorado had 364 dispensaries and 80 Starbucks locations. (essence, 2019).
